Yes, you can request an emailed or printed copy of your spectacle or contact lens Rx.

Will I get my eyes dilated?

When you visit Ocean Eye Care for an eye exam, there is a possibility that your eyes may be dilated. Dilating the pupils helps us to thoroughly examine the health of the retina, optic nerve, and other parts of the eye. This allows us to detect any early signs of eye conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, or diabetic retinopathy.

Each exam is personalized to your needs, so if dilation is necessary, we'll administer special eye drops that widen the pupils. After dilation, your vision may become blurry, especially for reading up close. Your eyes may also become more sensitive to light for a few hours. We recommend bringing sunglasses and arranging for a ride if you're concerned about driving after the exam. However, dilation is a quick procedure, and any side effects are temporary. If you have any concerns, feel free to ask your eye doctor before the exam!

We also utilize cutting-edge photography to capture the retina. This can be a sufficient alternative for most routine and healthy patients.

Do you offer pre and post operative care?

From initial consultations and pre-operative assessments to post-operative follow ups and management, we are committed to ensuring our patients receive personalized and attentive care throughout their surgical journey. Whether it's cataract surgery, LASIK, or other advanced procedures, our focus is on optimizing outcomes and promoting recovery to achieve the best possible vision and eye health for our patients.
