Dr. Peter Wagoner O.D
Optometrist
Dr. Peter Wagoner brings warmth, skill, and deep clinical expertise to every patient encounter. Originally from Iowa, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Christian University before pursuing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, graduating with honors.
Dr. Wagoner’s advanced training spans the country and reflects his passion for comprehensive eye care. At the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Daytona Beach, he focused on ocular disease management. In Dallas, he gained specialized experience in neuro-vision rehabilitation—helping individuals recover visual function after brain injuries and assisting children with complex binocular vision issues.
To broaden his expertise in surgical co-management, Dr. Wagoner gained experience under renowned refractive surgeon Dr. Gregory Parkhurst, gaining valuable insight into LASIK and cataract care. His dedication to service also took him to the highlands of Guatemala, where he provided compassionate eye care to underserved communities.

Marissa Wagoner
Manager
Marissa Wagoner is the practice manager of Ocean Eye Care, bringing a unique blend of compassion, healthcare experience, and strong business acumen to the heart of the practice. With a background in both business administration and sales, Marissa is passionate about creating a patient-centered environment where every individual feels seen, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Originally from upstate New York, Marissa grew up in a close-knit Italian family that instilled in her a love for connecting with people—and a deep appreciation for home-cooked meals and warm hospitality. She carries that same spirit into her role at Ocean Eye Care, making patients feel like part of the family from the moment they walk through the door.
Marissa oversees the daily operations of the practice with a focus on efficiency, organization, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional service. Her leadership ensures that Ocean Eye Care runs smoothly behind the scenes, while always prioritizing the needs of the patients and team.

Optical Assistant
Maria has many years of experience in lens technology, frame styling, and personalized patient care. Known for her thoughtful and detail-oriented approach, she guides patients through the eyewear selection process with a focus on comfort, function, and fashion. Her extensive knowledge of leading eyewear brands and advanced lens designs allows her to provide tailored solutions that enhance both vision and style.
